Recruit Wake Tech Students
Contact Ian J. Gibbons to consider these employer services, several of which can be conducted virtually via Webex or similar platform, should it best fit your circumstances:
Post a job to our online employment board, College Central Network (CCN). It's free and promotes your employment opportunities to over 10,000 students and alumni. To register, visit http://www.collegecentral.com/waketech/ and select the employers link to create an account.
On-Campus Recruiting is a great opportunity to streamline your recruiting efforts, connect with talented Wake Tech students and increase the visibility of your organization. Several options include hosting a recruiting table, attending a career fair or participating in speaker program.
Hosting an on-site job shadow day is a great way for students to explore your work environment, learn about different job opportunities, experience “a day in the life” and make professional connections. You get to promote your organization's culture and work environment, first hand.
Participating in Networking Nights is an effective way to talk with students about current opportunities, explain the necessary qualifications and to meet with students one on one. These sessions can be as formal or informal as you see fit.
Participating in Speaker Programs as part of a class, or an open lunch and learn visit. Our faculty appreciates these visits as they provide a casual atmosphere for students to learn about your organization's culture and opportunities. Space can be provided for formal interviews at your request.
Work-Based Learning Opportunity
At Wake Tech, students have several different opportunities for gaining practical work experience while pursuing a degree. Work-Based Learning (Co-op) allows students to apply what they have learned in the classroom in an actual workplace setting. Students work for an employer in a position directly related to their field of study. https://www.waketech.edu/programs-courses/credit/work-based-learning
