About The Program
Prepares learners to design, develop and maintain professional, high-quality responsive websites, create digital media and integrate web technologies to support an organization’s needs. Graduates will be proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web analytics, social media, user experience design and internet branding/marketing, along with various supporting technologies and tools. Graduates will be able to support the web design needs of businesses and organizations in a wide variety of industries or work as a freelance web designer.
Potential occupations include Web Designer, Webmaster, User Experience Specialist, Front-End Developer, Web Analyst, SEO Analyst, Web Content Specialist, Web Support Specialist and Freelance Web Designer.
In the Web Designer program, students are exposed to the latest in technologies and applications used in the industry, such as:
- HTML, XHTML, HTML5
- CSS/CSS3
- Web design principles
- Responsive design
- Git/GitHub
- Database Fundamentals

The degree and all certificates can be completed 100% online. Some beginning courses are also offered in a seated format at Southern Wake Campus and Northern Wake Campus.
