REAL Entrepreneurship Camp
Sponsored by Perkins Career Technical Education Act and the Wake Tech Business Administration Department.
The REAL Entrepreneurship Academy at Wake Tech will provide middle-grade students with experience planning, marketing, operating and analyzing their own small business in a 4-day, fun-filled, educational and inspiring experience. The Academy is based on the REAL Entrepreneurship program, which is a set of over 200 discrete modules covering almost every conceivable business topic to help your students plan and operate successful small businesses. REAL Entrepreneurship® is a recognized leader in entrepreneurship education. Participants will present their business plans to angel investors for “funding” and on Thursday, June 20, participants will present their plans to their parents and guardians.

9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Southern Wake Campus
Rising 6th, 7th and 8th graders
- Academy participants need to bring their lunches each day.
- Lunch will be provided on Thursday, sponsored by the Business Administration department.
- Cap of 25 students.
- Three adults will be present to run the camps.
- Students will have access to laptops for conducting research on their businesses.
Wake Tech has articulation agreements with four-year colleges and universities that give students options for transferring AAS degree credits toward a bachelor’s degree. [Details...]
Work-Based Learning at Wake Tech provides an excellent opportunity for students to build their resume, apply classroom instruction in the workplace and develop employability and technical skills through real-life work experiences.

Wake Tech students may be eligible for a variety of scholarships, as listed on the Foundation homepage.
Students should submit only ONE application per cycle to be considered for scholarships opportunities.
Students enrolled in the Entrepreneurship Certificate program (C25120C) may be eligible for the Wells Fargo Scholarship for Entrepreneurship, which was established in 2010 to support entrepreneurship and small business development.
