RALEIGH, N.C. (April 13, 2026) – Lace up your sneakers! Reach, Rally & Run, Wake Tech's annual run‑walk event supporting student success, takes place Saturday at the Scott Northern Wake Campus. The event features a 10K, a 5K and a Fun Mile, welcoming seasoned runners and casual walkers alike.
Led by the Wake Tech Foundation, Reach, Rally & Run benefits Wake Tech students facing unexpected financial hardships. Proceeds provide critical emergency assistance, helping students stay enrolled and on track to complete their education.
Formerly known as Fostering Footsteps, the event marks a new name and an expanded mission focused on removing barriers and creating opportunities for Wake Tech students. Now in its ninth year, Reach, Rally & Run continues to bring together employees, students, alumni and community members around a shared goal: supporting student success.
"Every step taken and every dollar raised helps students overcome challenges that might otherwise stand in the way of their education," said Kim Raynor, donor strategist for the Wake Tech Foundation. "So, let's race up, show up and make an impact together!"
Registration information:
- Online registration closes Thursday at 9 p.m.
- On‑site registration will be available on race day from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
Participants will enjoy a scenic course through campus while supporting a cause that makes a lasting difference.
The Wake Tech Foundation cultivates and manages resources critical to Wake Tech Community College's mission of providing high‑quality, accessible education and training to Wake County residents. Through scholarships, emergency assistance, academic programs and student support services, the Foundation helps ensure that financial barriers do not derail students' goals. Every Wake Tech student has a unique story, and donor support helps make each one a success.
Reach, Rally & Run is presented by Rodgers Builders and hosted by Fit & Able, in support of the Wake Tech Foundation.
