RALEIGH, N.C. (January 15, 2026) – Wake Tech is excited to announce a new workforce training opportunity focused on automotive glass repair to help meet growing demand in the area.

The college is partnering with Texas-based Kaizen Glass Solutions to deliver a week-long hands-on training program in automotive glass repair. It's available for students enrolled in the college's Collision Repair & Refinishing Technology degree program, as well as the general public.

Kaizen's Auto Glass Training Program will be offered March 16–20 at Wake Tech's Hendrick Center for Automotive Excellence on the Scott Northern Wake Campus. A second session is scheduled for May 11–15.

This collaboration brings Kaizen's industry-recognized instruction to Wake Tech, equipping students with essential skills in auto glass removal and replacement, windshield repair and an introduction to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) safety fundamentals – training designed to prepare graduates for success in today's rapidly evolving automotive repair industry.

Students who complete the training receive a certificate of completion from Kaizen's accredited Auto Glass Replacement course, GlasWeld Certification from the windshield repair course and a certificate of completion from the AUTEL ADAS course.

"We are excited to bring our training programs to North Carolina in partnership with such a respected institution as Wake Tech," said Shauna Davis, president of Kaizen Glass Solutions. "The college's commitment to technical excellence and student success aligns perfectly with our mission to provide practical, real-world auto glass education."

"We are always looking to grow our network of industry partners to stay ahead of emerging trends," said Rick Sapienza, dean of Transportation Technologies at Wake Tech. "Our goal is to ensure students have access to the latest techniques and technology to prepare them for rewarding careers."
