College Partners to Host Pop-Up Vaccine Event at Beltline Education Center

RALEIGH, N.C. (August 18, 2021) - As COVID-19 cases continue to rise, Wake Tech is teaming up with Activate Good, Wake County, Raleigh-Apex NAACP, Raleigh Village East, and Deiter Mediation for a pop-up walk-in Vaccine Clinic from 3 – 7 p.m. September 1 at the college’s Beltline Education Center.

Anyone who gets the first or second dose of the vaccine at the event will get a cash prize and be entered into a drawing for AirPods. Anyone who brings someone to get the vaccine will also get a cash prize. The event also aims to raise awareness about local employment opportunities. A job board will be on site for attendees to learn about job openings in the area.

First and second doses of Pfizer and Moderna as well as the single dose of Johnson & Johnson will be administered. For those receiving their first shot, Wake County will assist in setting up an appointment for the second dose.

Participation is private and confidential, and a health professional will be at the event to answer questions about the vaccine.

The shot is free with or without insurance. However, if you have insurance, make sure to bring your insurance card.

Wake Tech’s Beltline Education Center is located at 3200 Bush Street in Raleigh.
