“Spring Ahead” Mini-Mester Classes Fast-Track Students to Degree

RALEIGH, N.C. (January 14, 2021) – It’s a new year, and the spring semester is the perfect time to get a jump start on your academic and career goals at Wake Tech.

New and current students don’t need to wait for summer or fall to get started, move forward or catch up on their degree requirements. Wake Tech offers more than 60 courses that newly admitted students can begin in February and March.

Students can choose 12-week or eight-week mini-mester class options in a variety of subjects including accounting, business, and marketing, criminal justice, sociology and the humanities. These courses allow current students to add a course or two to their schedule in order to reach their goals more quickly. For a list of these classes, visit springahead.waketech.edu.

All degree and non-degree courses are currently being offered in a hybrid format (blend of in-person and online instruction) or fully online.

Students looking to add a class should contact their advisor or email [email protected]. New students who want to start classes this spring can apply online at apply.waketech.edu but should call or email the Admissions Office at 919-866-5420 or [email protected] to change the application default from summer/fall 2021 to spring 2021.

Twelve-week classes begin February 5;  eight-week classes begin March 15. All finish on May 11, the scheduled end of spring semester.

Wake Tech is North Carolina’s largest community college, serving more than 70,000 students annually.
