U.S. Senator Richard Burr Visits the RTP Campus
Raleigh, N.C. (August 15, 2019) - US Senator Richard Burr visited Wake Tech’s RTP Campus in Morrisville today. He addressed a Wake Tech Foundation Board meeting and toured the campus along with President Scott Ralls, Provost Keith Babuszczak, Board Chair Tom Looney, and NC Community College President Peter Hans.
Following the tour, Senator Burr met with several campus leaders to discuss the increasingly important role of community colleges in building a robust and competitive workforce for the 21st century economy. They also discussed the demand for qualified instructors for specialized IT programs offered at the campus, including Cyber Security, Business Analytics, and Data Science and Virtualization.
