Wake Tech Public Safety Training Academy Invites Public Comment for Assessment
RALEIGH, N.C. (July 16, 2019) - Wake Tech invites members of the public to offer comment as part of the assessment process for the Public Safety Training Academy conducted by assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA ®). The process will examine all aspects of the Public Safety Training Academy's administration, policy and procedures, instructional systems, program development, training support and student welfare, Chief Campus Officer and Public Safety Training Academy Director Jeffrey B. Robinson announced today.
As part of the on-site assessment, agency (college) personnel, criminal justice and public safety agencies and members of the public may offer comments during a public call-in to the Assessment Team on Monday, July 29 between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm. The number is 919-866-6105.

Accreditation is part of a voluntary process to gain and maintain recognition of public safety training professional excellence. Assessors will verify that Wake Tech's Public Safety Training Academy meets the Commission's 160 professionally recognized law enforcement training standards.
Wake Technical Community College Public Safety Training Academy has been CALEA accredited since 2012.
