Lenovo Speaker Series Kicks Off at RTP Campus

RALEIGH, N.C. (October 17, 2018) - The house was full as Lenovo launched its Speaker Series at Wake Tech’s RTP Campus tonight. The session focused on the critical issue of Cyber Security. More than 80 students and IT professionals came to hear Veronika Stolbikova, a Product Security Engineer (Ethical Hacker) at Lenovo. Stolbikova specializes in finding security issues and fixing them during development and before the software reaches the customer. She discussed the complex and constantly evolving world of cyber security and why it matters.  

The next sessions will be:

  • Big Data, Monday, October 22 - learn how the explosive growth in data available to businesses is creating new challenges and driving a need to transform IT architectures.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI), Thursday, October 25 - this talk will introduce basic concepts of AI, and offer real world examples of how it may change society and the business world.                                                                                                                               

**All sessions will be held at Wake Tech’s RTP Campus in room 162 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
