Three Wake Tech Trustees Reappointed

RALEIGH, N.C. (August 15, 2023) – Three members of the Wake Tech Board of Trustees have been reappointed to four-year terms. 

Dr. Esther Delaney and Sheila Ogle took their oaths of office during the August 15 regular board meeting. John Boswell will take the oath of office in the coming weeks. 

Reappointed by the Wake County Board of Commissioners, Delaney joined the board in 2019. Ogle, who began her service in 2007, was reappointed by the Wake County Board of Education. Boswell was reappointed by Gov. Roy Cooper. He has been on the board since 2022.  

New Student Government Association President William Guevara also took ​the oath of office and serves as an ex-officio non-voting member for 2023-24. 

Jamie Thomas was re-elected chair of the board, and Kellie Falk was re-elected vice chair. 

Wake Tech is served by 12 trustees, all of whom are appointed – four by the governor, four by the Wake County Board of Commissioners and four by the Wake County Board of Education. Trustees establish policy for Wake Tech, approve the annual budget and serve as advocates for the college and its services.
