No prior experience is needed – just a willingness to learn and create.

Throughout the course, you explore PowerPoint from the ground up, starting with the user interface and basic file management. You then build and format slides, add multimedia elements and incorporate tools like SmartArt and charts to bring your content to life. By the end, you are able to design polished presentations and deliver them effectively – live or recorded. Hardware requirements:
This course can be taken on either a PC or a Mac.

Software requirements:
PC: Windows 10 or later
Mac: macOS 12 or later
Browser: The latest version of Firefox, Chrome or Safari browsers (although Firefox or Chrome is preferred)
Microsoft PowerPoint 365 for Windows or Microsoft PowerPoint for Mac (Microsoft PowerPoint 365 Online can also be used for some activities.)
Adobe Acrobat Reader
Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.

Email capabilities and access to a personal email account

Requirements for Successful Completion

90% attendance
Students must pass 10 quizzes with a minimum grade of 70% by the second quiz attempt. If all quizzes are not passed with 70% or better by the second attempt, the final exam score must be 70% or higher on the first attempt. The final exam must be taken by the Wake Tech course end date.
