Master Your Sewing Machine

Have you ever wanted to know more about a sewing machine and need somewhere to start? In this course, students learn about the basics of a sewing machine, stitches, the presser feet and maintenance. Students without machines will have the opportunity to use a machine in class and learn the type of machines that will fit their sewing endeavors.

Course Objectives

Learn the basic function of a sewing machine and how to use theirs


Outline of Instruction

Tour of a typical sewing machine, needle and how to thread and load a bobbin

Learn how to sew a seam and the many different stitches on a machine

Learn how to use the different presser feet that comes with a machine and how to maintain a machine
