RALEIGH, N.C. (October 11, 2025) – More than 700 future Wake Tech students explored and learned about the college’s educational opportunities at Open House at the Southern Wake Campus.

"I'm excited to be here today to learn more about training in skilled trades," said Eugene Wesley of Holly Springs. "I'm planning to study Electrical Systems Technology, and I hope to open my own business in the future."

For three hours Saturday morning, guests toured the campus, attended information sessions and met with faculty, staff and current students to learn more about academic opportunities. The Academic and Resource Fair featured more than 60 booths representing programs across the college, as well as support services, including Academic Advising, Financial Aid, Registration, Career Services, Disability Support Services and Military & Veteran Services.

Information sessions throughout the morning covered topics such as University Transfer, Health Sciences and Nursing admissions, Business Administration, Computer Programming, Simulation & Game Development and more. Visitors also had the opportunity to explore specialized training labs for Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Arts, Cosmetology and Esthetics, education and fine arts, where faculty and students showcased their classroom and studio spaces.
