This course is a continuation of Part 1, teaching individuals how to provide professional communication in a health care setting, follow HIPAA guidelines, understand medical laws and ethics and practice the fundamentals of phlebotomy in preparation for the 40-hour clinical externship.

Course Objectives

Demonstrate knowledge of collection equipment, various types of additives used, special precautions necessary and substances that can interfere in clinical analysis of blood constituents
