Veterans Employment and Resource Summit is Thursday

RALEIGH, N.C. (June 9, 2025) – Mark your calendar! Veterans and active-duty military personnel are invited to a special event at Wake Tech on Thursday, June 12. Wake Tech is partnering with NC State on an Employment and Resource Summit to connect veterans with career opportunities, vital resources, and support services.

The event takes place at the Southern Wake Campus in the Building L Conference Center from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

More than a dozen employers will be there, as well as numerous organizations offering a variety of support services specifically designed for veterans and military members. Wake Tech’s Career Services team will also be there to offer employment tips and career guidance. Military and Veteran Services staff from both Wake Tech and NC State University will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about educational opportunities.

“This summit represents our commitment to ensuring that those who have served our country have every opportunity to succeed in their civilian careers,” said Michael McLamb, dean of Wake Tech’s Military and Veteran Services. “By bringing together military-friendly employers with comprehensive support services, we're creating a one-stop resource that honors veterans' service while helping them build strong futures in our community.”

Wake Tech is a Military Friendly® Gold Award institution, a designation earned for services and programs the college offers veterans and their family members pursuing education, training and professional development.
