Description

The Performing Arts Club casting for three short plays for its spring show in the Lecture Hall on Scott Northern Wake Campus.

Auditions will be cold reads, so there's no need to prepare a monologue. Actors are needed for each of these plays:

  • Trigger Warning, directed by Ayaan Mahmood
Every month, all American businesses must do an active-shooter drill. But when a new hire from overseas arrives, things get out of hand.
  • The Reckoning (revamped), directed by Poorshasb Kazemi
An FBI agent stalks a target and finally corners them in a unique and dangerous way. Will they be successful?
  • CurlPower, directed (and written) by Faith Nicole Cabbell
Mona's 1970s salon is just doing fabulous business as usual when, suddenly, the King of Pop walks in!

Technical directors, sound designers, lighting designers, costumers and props wranglers also are needed for all three shows. Being a techie on one show doesn't prevent you from acting in another, so if you want to act and design, here's your opportunity!

Here's the rehearsal and performance schedule:

  • January 23 - March 10: Rehearsing, designing, producing and staging in the Tutoring and Learning Center
  • March 11, 4-9 p.m.: First tech and second tech rehearsals, Lecture Hall
  • March 12, 4-9 p.m.: Third Tech and fourth tech rehearsals, Lecture Hall
  • March 13, 3 p.m.: Final tech rehearsal, Lecture Hall
  • March 13, 7 p.m.: Performance, Lecture Hall
  • March 27: Wrap party
