This course introduces the fundamental elements of the Spanish language within a cultural context. Emphasis is placed on the development of basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Upon completion, students should be able to comprehend and respond with grammatical accuracy to spoken and written Spanish and demonstrate cultural awareness.

Complete one: Complete ENG-002 with a grade of P1 or higher; Place out of ENG-002; Complete ENG-025; Place out of ENG-025
Take SPA-181-Must be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course.
