Fundamentals of Paint and Drywall

Brush you way to a new career or just enhance your home with this Fundamental of Paint and Drywall course. Student will gain valuable skills and insight whether your are looking for career change or learning to become a do-it-yourselfer learning to measure, cut, hang and install sheetrock on pre-build wood stud mockups as well as learning the proper way to prep areas for paint and staining. Get ready to have fun and dress appropriately for this hands-on in our skilled trades lab area. A supply list will be available on the first night of class.

Course Objectives

Students will receive hands-on training for drywall installation. They will learn how to measure, cut to install and finish drywall. Students will learn how to use specific tools such as rot-zips and drywall screw guns. Students will receive hands-on training on how to paint and roll walls.
