SICAM A8000 - Complete for Engineers

The participant will develop an understanding about the scalable automation system SICAM A8000. The trainee will be able to fully set up a SICAM A8000 automation systems in the engineering tool SICAM Device Manager, as well as apply and test communication with IEC 61850 relays and SCADA systems.

Course Objectives

will be able to understand, configure, and effectively manage SICAM A8000 RTUs using SICAM Device Manager. Trainees will learn how to create process signals from I/O cards and protection relays (IEC61850 / Modbus / DNP3) and route data to SCADA systems; create Functional Block Diagram (FBD) logics.

• The features of the different automation CP-8031, CP-8050 units including architecture and hardware.
• The mode of operation of SICAM A8000 - from data acquisition to data output
• Automation License Manager ALM
• Engineering tool SICAM Device Manager at a glance - Overview, GUI
• Project and device creation using SICAM Device Manager
• Hardware / Firmware design and configuration
• Process signals creation (via I/O's / Communication / Diagnosis)
• Loading firmwares and settings for the automation unit
• MODBUS RTU Communication examples
• DNP3 Communication examples
• IEC 61850 Communication (IEC61850 Basic (Client & Server)
• Engineering tool SICAM Device Manager Logic Editor CFC at a glance - overview, GUI
• Creation and structuring of an automation task: Charts, Processing order of charts as well of function blocks, User-defined function blocks (FBD & ST) as well User-defined structures
• Creation of dashboard screens for control and supervision
• Using the online interface for troubleshooting
