Phlebotomy Technician Part 1

Take the next steps toward a new career in healthcare with this Phlebotomy Technician course! Throughout your program, you'll work to develop the skills and knowledge that can help you be successful on the job! You'll cover topics like infection control, anatomy and physiology, and testing and lab procedures. You'll also cover venipuncture and your course includes a venipuncture kit that can help you practice your skills. Additionally, an externship is included with your Phlebotomy Technician program to get hands-on practice, gain valuable knowledge, and apply your training through exposure in the healthcare field.

Course Objectives

Be able to name and explain all the systems of the body; Describe the overall structure of the muscular system and nervous system.

Summarize the health professional's responsibilities in assisting the provider with examinations.

Review the causes and diagnostic methods of various infectious and communicable diseases.

Explore procedures and processes used in obtaining blood and urine samples.
