Course Objectives

Review and obtain a basic knowledge of topics covered and how they apply to general industry.


Outline of instruction

Introduction to OSHA standards and interpretations

Walking and working surfaces, including fall protection

Exit routes, emergency action plans, fire prevention plans and fire protection

Electrical safety

Personal protective equipment

Hazard communication

Additional optional training:
• Hazardous materials and materials handling
• Machine guarding
• Introduction to industrial hygiene
• Blood-borne pathogens
• Ergonomics
• Safety and health programs
