Arc Flash & Electrical Safety Training Per NFPA 70E - 2021 & OSHA 1910.269

This 1-day workshop on Low Voltage Arc Flash and Electrical Safety training gives attendees a broad understanding of OSHA 1910.269 and NFPA 70E regulations and standards regarding electrical and arc flash safety and how to apply them in real-world situations. This course offers a blended approach of lectures, table-top exercises, and review questions.

Course Objectives

Recognize and identify electrical and arc flash hazards

Understand the OSHA and NFPA 70E Regulations and Standards

Identify the four levels of Personal Protective Equipment and proper use

Demonstrate knowledge of electrical risk assessment

Have a general familiarization with electrical safety related work practices

Familiarization of OSHA 1910-269 and NFPA 70E Regulations & Standards

Safety related electrical maintenance requirements

Identification and application of the four NFPA Arc Flash PPE categories

Familiarization with performance-based language

Marking and labeling requirements for electrical equipment

Electrical hazards and protection strategies

Establishing an electrically safe work condition
