GeoCell Cell Phone Intelligence Training

This class will be a thorough introduction to the use of cell phone data in criminal investigations. Through presentations the class will learn about electronic communication data and intelligence; Internet Protocol(IP) and how to find the company that services an IP address; Legal demands; geographic mapping of cell phone data from historical records and real-time surveillance; cell phone forensics; courtroom presentations and much more.

Course Objectives

Define and discuss Electronic communication data.

Explain "Communication Intelligence."

Discuss the process of utilizing data collecting.

Determine the phone company of a phone number.

Understand the legal demands such as customer consent, emergency requests, subpoenas, court orders, and search warrants for law enforcement in order the prepare their case.

Examine cell phone forensics from physical devices and available techniques that an investigator can use in their investigation.

Examine case studies to illustrate successfullness of the data collected.
