Carpentry Apprenticeship Level 1

Prepare for entry-level employment as Carpenters with general contracting companies, at new construction sites and on remodeling and renovation projects. This is the first course in the NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) curriculum for Carpentry Apprenticeship.

Course Objectives

learn the basics of working in Carpentry as a First Year Apprentice. Students will become familiar with building materials, care and use of tools, use of construction drawings, as well as framing techniques for floor systems, walls, roof systems, and window and door openings.

Clinical Site/Special Facilities

Carpentry Lab for teaching hands on activities.

80% attendance
Successfully completed all module tests with a minimum score of 70%,Successfully completed all hands-on performance profiles
