Course Offerings

This course introduces new topics for apprentices working in Carpentry and prepares students for additional responsibilities as Carpenters on new construction sites and on remodeling and renovation projects. Carpentry Apprenticeship Level 3 is the third course in the NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) curriculum for Carpentry Apprenticeship.

Course Objectives

learn new topics including the basics of trenching and excavating and related safety issues, how to build vertical and horizontal frameworks for pouring concrete, and rigging practices and equipment. Students will also learn the properties of concrete, methods for handling, placing and reinforcing concrete, and the use of foundations, slabs-on-grade, and tilt up wall systems.

Students who successfully complete the requirements for this course will be eligible to receive certification from the National Center for Construction Education and Research and will receive credit for completion of the third year of App Trng.

Clinical Site/Special Facilities

Carpentry Lab for teaching hands on activities.

Requirements for Successful Completion

80% attendance
Successfully completed all module exams with a minimum score of 70%,Successfully completed all hands-on assessments
