Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology

This course introduces basic anatomy and physiology. Emphasis is placed on the relationship between body structure and function and the procedures common to health care. Upon completion, you will be able to identify body system components and functions relating this knowledge to the delivery of health care.

Course Objectives

Define anatomy and physiology.

Discuss structure as it relates to function in human body systems.


Identify the components of each organ system.

Describe the functions of each organ system.

Give examples of how the organ systems of the human body relate to one another.

Relate the structure of each organ to its function.
