HVAC Apprenticeship Level 1

This course introduces the basics of working in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and prepares students for entry-level employment as HVAC Technicians at new construction sites and on remodeling and renovation projects. HVAC Apprenticeship Level 1 is the first course in the NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) curriculum for HVAC Apprenticeship.

Course Objectives

understand the basics of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, including Trade Mathematics, Basic Electricity, Basic Heating and Cooling, Introductory Air Distribution Systems, use of Copper and Plastic Piping, Soldering and Brazing, and Basics of Carbon Steel Piping.

Certification

HVAC Lab for teaching hands on activities.

80% attendance
Successfully completed all module exams with a minimum score of 70%,Successfully completed all hands-on assessments
