The Wake Tech Accounting Club is sponsoring a three-part Bridging Minds workshop, which introduces the concept of neurodiversity and explores the broad range of neurological differences it encompasses.
Through a focus on understanding neurodivergent perspectives, enhancing communication and implementing supportive workplace practices, the series equips students with the strategies and tools needed to build inclusive, productive working relationships with neurodivergent clients and colleagues, including individuals with ADHD, autism, dyslexia and other neurological variations.
The first session provides a broad, strengths-based overview of communication differences accountants may encounter. It emphasizes disability as diversity and communication as a shared responsibility.
