Some courses may require the use of Respondus for online exams and/or other graded activities. Respondus is an electronic proctoring system that records and monitors students while they complete online exams and/or other graded assignments. The system enables the course instructor to review video recordings to evaluate student conduct during exams or graded activities.
Your instructor may require the use of the Respondus LockDown Browser and/or webcam monitoring.
To use Respondus, students must have access to a laptop or desktop computer equipped with a built-in or external webcam and microphone. The webcam lens must remain uncovered at all times during the proctored assessment. Students will also be required to download and install Respondus on their computer prior to the assessment.
Students who choose not to use Respondus will be required to complete online exams and/or other graded assignments at an approved alternative proctoring site.
Students are encouraged to review course requirements carefully and contact their instructor with any questions about online proctoring expectations.
