Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) (Voucher Included)

This online medical administrative assistant training program prepares aspiring medical administrative assistants in how to assist the health care teams with patient flow and day-to-day administrative operations. Through the online training, you learn skills to prepare you for working alongside medical providers performing a range of administrative duties, including welcoming patients and visitors, scheduling appointments, maintaining the reception area, gathering demographic information, verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining prior authorizations, collecting copayments and communicating via the phone and patient portal.

There are no prerequisites to take this course. However, to sit for national certification exams, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent; therefore, it is recommended you have one before enrolling for this course.
