Understanding Photovoltaic Power Systems - 2012 NC Fire Code Update

This course covers the basics of Solar Photovoltaic Power Systems and the changes to the 2012 NC State Fire Code with the addition of 605.11 Solar Photovoltaic Power Systems. The course provides a brief introduction of PV Power Systems, a description of the cells and components used, and performance and applications.

Course Objectives

The student will identify cells and components used for Solar Photovoltaic Power Systems.

The student will identify the changes found in the updates to the NC State Fire Code 2012 Ed. regarding Solar Photovoltaic Power Systems.

The student will interpret and apply the NC Fire Prevention Code 2012 Ed. to Solar Photovoltaic Power Systems.
