CompTIA PenTest+

Due to the rapidly evolving cybersecurity field, individuals will enhance their knowledge by focusing on up-to-date penetration testing techniques. Course topics will emphasize the usage of best practices by applying current cybersecurity methodologies to plan, scope, and manage vulnerabilities to enhance security and avert the next cybersecurity attack. By course completion, students should be proficient in using pentest methodologies in the cloud, hybrid environments, web applications, ethical hacking principles, vulnerability scanning, and code analysis. In addition, students will be prepared to test for the CompTIA PenTest exam.

Course Objectives

• Plan and scope a penetration testing engagement
• Understand legal and compliance requirements
• Perform vulnerability scanning and penetration testing using appropriate tools and techniques, and then analyze the results
• Produce a written report containing proposed remediation techniques, effectively communicate results to the management team, and provide practical recommendations
