Carpentry Apprenticeship Level 4

Carpentry Apprenticeship Level 4 continues instruction for work as a Carpenter Apprentice at new construction sites and on remodeling and renovation projects. The course completes the series by providing more advanced concepts such as site layout and differential leveling, angular and distance measurement, advanced roof, wall and stair systems, construction equipment, oxy-fuel cutting and arc welding, site preparation and fundamentals of crew leadership. Students will also receive OSHA 30-Hour Safety Training for the Construction Industry. Carpentry Apprenticeship Level 4 is the fourth and final course in the NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) curriculum for Carpentry Apprenticeship.

Course Objectives

learn more advanced skills required of a fourth year Carpentry Apprentice. Students will develop knowledge, skills and abilities in areas such as site layout and differential leveling, angular and distance measurement, advanced roof, wall and stair systems, construction equipment, oxy-fuel cutting and arc welding, site preparation and fundamentals of crew leadership.

Certification

Students who successfully complete the requirements for this course will be eligible to receive certification from the National Center for Construction Education and Research and will receive credit for completion of the fourth year of App Trng.

Requirements for Successful Completion

80% attendance
Successfully complete all module exams with a minimum score of 70%,Successfully complete all hands-on assessments
