Wake Tech is closed December 24 through January 4 for winter break and will reopen January 5. Prospective students can still apply for enrollment online during the break, and continuing students can register for Spring semester classes, which start January 7.
The Social Services Certificate program is designed for individuals who already work in a human services-related field and who wish to expand their knowledge of social work practices, as well as for students considering a future career in social work or a related field.
Coursework includes mental health, addiction treatment, identifying and collaborating with community resources and ethical social work practice.
The certificate can be completed fully online. Students wishing to take advantage of that option should consult their assigned advisor upon admission to the program for assistance.
The certificate transfers into the Social & Human Services AAS degree program for students wishing to earn a two-year degree.
