Community Outreach

Wake Tech is bringing resources and educational opportunities that lead to economic mobility to area communities that need it most.

The college has partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs serving Wake County and identified several other community organizations to assist in serving our most vulnerable residents:

  • Communities in Schools
  • Raleigh Dream Center
  • Salvation Army
  • JUNTOS

A Workforce Community Outreach Officer, based at the Boys & Girls Clubs, works directly with club members and the community at large, providing middle school and high school students greater access to Wake Tech and workforce and career training opportunities.

The program includes college and career readiness coaching and information at the Boys & Girls Club and in Wake County neighborhoods about the following:

  • Career exploration
  • Degree and non-degree pathway options
  • High-demand, short-term training
  • GED and English learner classes
  • Employment services
  • Financial aid assistance

To learn more about the program or to schedule an information session, email CC Hardy at [email protected].
