Purpose

In collaboration with Human Resources, the Wake Tech DEI Council's Workforce Initiatives Workgroup will focus on the following:

  • Enhance recruitment, hiring, retention and advancement practices
  • Support the college's efforts to grow faculty, staff and administration that reflect the diversity of the Wake Tech student body
  • Strengthen student workforce connections and experiences

Initiatives

  • Develop a "Grow Our Own" program
  • Support Wake Invests in Women in reaching its goals for women in STEM-related fields
  • Promote and recruit students for the One Ten Initiative
