Students Excel at FBLA State Conference
RALEIGH, N.C. (June 13, 2023) – Wake Tech students won seven awards, including four first-place honors, during the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference earlier this spring in Greensboro.
FBLA, formerly Phi Beta Lambda, is the nation's largest business career and technical student organization.
Wake Tech students showcased their leadership skills in competitive events against universities and colleges from across North Carolina, winning the following awards:
First Place
- Bradley Huntoon, Computer Concepts and Networking Concepts
- Paco Rodriguez, Impromptu Speaking
- Chrissty Berry Aracena, Public Speaking
- Camyrn Jamison and Dominick Jurik, Website Design
Second Place
- Chrissty Berry Aracena, Sales Presentation
Third Place
- Anthony Anachuna, Public Speaking
Wake Tech was also recognized for having the second-largest chapter membership in the state with 45 members.
Huntoon, Rodriguez, Aracena and Jamison will compete at the National Leadership Conference in Atlanta June 22-25.
