Annual Service Project Honors Dr. King’s Legacy

RALEIGH, N.C. (January 15, 2018) - Wake Tech honored the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. today, with a special service project focused on combating hunger. Students, faculty, and staff packaged 20,000 meals for distribution to schools and orphanages around the world. The event was coordinated by the international relief organization Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now).

This service project has become an annual event for the college. Wake Tech has been partnering with Rise Against Hunger since 2009 and has packaged more than 124,000 meals.
