RALEIGH, N.C. (April 11, 2026) – From exploring academic programs to getting hands-on help with enrollment, more than 760 future students took the next step toward their college goals Saturday during Wake Tech's Spring Open House.

The annual event was held at two locations: Scott Northern Wake Campus and Perry Health Sciences Campus near WakeMed. Prospective students and their families toured campuses, attended information sessions and learned about academic programs, student support services and campus resources.

Admissions and Financial Aid staff were also on hand to help attendees apply for Summer and Fall enrollment and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®).

Kaliyah Tarell, a prospective student from Kentucky who plans to attend Wake Tech in the fall, said the experience exceeded her expectations.

"Wake Tech has a lot of opportunities," Tarell said. "There are so many programs I want to explore, especially as I work toward earning my Associate in Science degree."

Tarell said the Open House helped confirm her decision to attend Wake Tech.

"The staff and faculty have been so helpful and nice," she said. "It's made me want to start Wake Tech today!"

Open House took place amid Summer and Fall enrollment. New students are encouraged to apply to become a student. Registration for classes starts April 20 for new students.

In addition to degree programs, Wake Tech offers accelerated, non-degree workforce training designed to prepare students for immediate employment. The college is hosting a Virtual Open House focused on these programs from 5 to 7 p.m. April 15.
