Wake Tech is closed December 24 through January 4 for winter break and will reopen January 5. Prospective students can still apply for enrollment online during the break, and continuing students can register for Spring semester classes, which start January 7.
The Distribution Management Core Certificate gives students a broad foundation in distribution management.
The program provides an overview of the major functions of arranging and coordinating the transportation of products globally. Students also gain an understanding of all activities involved in the flow of products and information between the suppliers, customers, producers and service providers.
Courses cover how companies manage order fulfillment, purchase raw materials, manage warehouses and arrange domestic and international transportation services. Students also learn about freight forwarders, shippers, supply chain collaboration, importing, exporting, third party logistics and logistics technology.
Upon completion, students will understand the basics of distribution management.
