The Civil Engineering Technology curriculum provides training for technicians in the various aspects of land development:
- Site and feasibility studies
- Preliminary and final design calculations
- As-built analysis
- Construction materials testing
- Construction administration
- Other land-development process functions
Course work includes the following:
- Drainage and erosion control
- Statics and strength of materials
- Construction materials testing
- Site design and site surveying
- CAD and GIS software
Graduates should qualify for jobs such as CAD designers, construction materials testing technicians, construction administrators and many others. Graduates also have transfer opportunities to pursue BS degrees at any of these universities:
