Wake Tech is closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Prospective students can still apply online, and current students can register for Summer and Fall classes. The college will reopen Tuesday morning.
Core coursework for thediploma program includes the theory of operations, troubleshooting techniques and repair procedures for engines, transmissions, fuel, electronics, electrical and hydraulics systems. Other related courses, along with a few general education courses, are also required.
Graduates should qualify for entry-level employment opportunities at businesses that repair construction equipment. Entry and advancement levels depend on the training completed, knowledge and ability levels, work performance and ethics.
