Jim Matlock teaches beginning and advanced Python courses. He has more than 30 years of software engineering experience, having worked at IBM, Texas Instruments and other companies. Jim holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Virginia Tech and a master's degree in computer science from North Carolina State University. Since joining Wake Tech in March 2021, Jim has brought a wealth of practical industry experience to offer students a comprehensive and real-world-relevant education in technology.

Beniah "Professor Mac" McMiller is a full-time instructor at Wake Technical Community College. He has taught Networking and Programming courses at every level in academia, starting in 2008 with K12 students. From 2010 to 2020, he has taught at York Technical College, ITT - Technical Institute, Mitchell Community College and Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Professor Mac is passionate about the success of his students and enjoys teaching, advising and serving as an instructor.

Ryan Steffes is a distinguished educator and software developer, currently serving as the course lead for the CTI-110 course at Wake Technical Community College. In this role, he offers invaluable assistance and support to students, especially when they encounter difficulties that their instructors cannot resolve. Steffes' journey into the world of programming began with a unique first programming language, learned at a summer camp during his high school years. His initial foray into the digital world also included accessing his first email account by dialing into a server through a bulletin board service.
Steffes boasts Microsoft ITS certifications in HTML/CSS and JavaScript, underscoring his expertise in these fundamental web technologies. His professional experience spans more than a decade in the software development industry, where he has worked on diverse projects ranging from radar system software to developing a professional website in the events services industry. His work as a defense contractor for an engineering firm, where he developed web-based languages for various applications, highlights his versatile skill set.
