Wake Tech is closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. Prospective students can still apply online, and current students can register for Summer and Fall classes. The college will reopen Tuesday morning.
Students who are interested in transferring to a university in a science, technology, engineering or math field and want to complete their degree as quickly as possible need to check out the Boost program.
Boost was created by the North Carolina Community College System to get students through college into high-wage, in-demand careers in a shorter period. The program targets high-growth fields, such as biotechnology, health care, engineering, advanced manufacturing and information technology, and works to break down barriers students might face in completing their education.
Wake Tech advisors are selecting 150 students to be a part of the college's 2025 Boost Cohort. Participants can take advantage of the following benefits:
