The Associate in Engineering program prepares students to transfer to an engineering degree program at a four-year university.
The program provides a solid general education foundation for students who want to pursue a bachelor's degree – or beyond – in such areas of study as computer science, engineering or professional programs that require a strong background in mathematics and sciences.
Associate degree programs are part of the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement, which facilitates the transfer of students between institutions in the North Carolina Community College System and the University of North Carolina System.
Upon completion of a four-year degree from an engineering program, students can pursue certain careers. Some colleges offer degrees for the specific careers named below, but students could take courses of interest to pursue a certain area of engineering.
"Never define yourself. Never set your own limit. You are a function that can transform infinitely, and there is no ceiling on what you can become."
