Intended Audience
The course is intended for candidates that are interested in the field of Cosmetology and seek to obtain a Cosmetology license.

Este curso cubre los conceptos más amplios de la cosmetología, como la seguridad, el conocimiento del producto, la quimica, la manicura, la reestructuración química, y la coloración del cabello. Para simular un ambiente de salón, el curso incluye una formación práctica en el cuidado básico de la piel, tratamientos del cuero cabelludo, champú, acondicionamiento, corte de cabello, pelucas, y temas relacionados.
Este curso se enseña en español y en inglés.

This course covers the broader concepts of cosmetology such as safety, product knowledge, chemistry, manicuring, chemical restructuring, and hair coloring. To simulate a salon environment, the course includes hands-on training in basic skin care, scalp treatments, shampooing, conditioning, haircuts, wigs, and related topics.
This course will be taught in Spanish and English.
Course Objectives
  1. Practice and perform infection control procedures safely associated with Cosmetology.
  2. Perform services to the public safely and by applying concepts of all phases of Cosmetology in a salon setting.
  3. Identify hair and disorders of the scalp, practice chemical and hair cutting services safely and properly to the public.
Outline of Instruction
  1. Theory Concepts
    Continue to practice Infection Control Safety Procedures.
    Fundamental Chapters: 6 & 7. CIMA: 8, 9, 11, 12, 15, 16
    Students will perform practical skills in a salon setting on live models and manikins.
