Description
This course continues training in the NCCER curriculum for Plumbing Apprentice introducing new concepts and elaborating on material learned in the Plumbing Level 1 course. Students will be prepared for entry-level work with Plumbing Contractors at new construction sites and on remodeling and renovation projects.
This is the second course in the NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) curriculum for Plumbing Apprenticeship.
Course Objectives
  1. learn new skills required of a second year Plumbing Apprentice. Students will develop new knowledge, skills, and abilities related to the use of plumbing math, plumbing drawings, structural penetrations, insulation and fire stopping related to installation of plumbing systems, installation of drain, waste and vent (DWV) piping, roof, floor, and area drain installation, procedures for installing and testing water supply piping, types of valves and fixtures and their installation, water heater installation, basic electricity, and installation of fuel oil and fuel gas plumbing systems.

Plumbing Level Two Trainee Guide, published by NCCER in partnership with Pearson.
Clinical Site/Special Facilities
Must have access to Plumbing Lab to teach hands-on activities.
Requirements for Successful Completion of this Course
  1. Attendance 80% or above
  2. Participation
  3. Successfully completed all module exams with a minimum score of 70%
  4. Successfully completed all hands-on assessments
