Student Activities at Wake Tech includes the Student Government Association (SGA) and its Executive Board along with an extensive variety of programs, clubs, and organizations designed to engage and inspire students. These groups offer valuable leadership experiences, connections to professional organizations, networking opportunities, and special events that enrich students’ lives – during the college years and beyond.

Plato’s Symbolism in the City Plan of Atlantis Presentation
The Wake Tech Philosophy Club has partnered with Student Activities to present a philosophy lecture which is open to the entire Wake Tech Community.
 
Dr. Clint Corcoran, Professor of Religion and Philosophy at High Point University, will share his arguments and research on Plato’s Symbolism in the City Plan of Atlantis.
 
After the lecture, complimentary refreshments will be available in the Atrium from 1:30-3:30pm for all lecture attendees.  Please join Dr. Corcoran and the Wake Tech Philosophy Club for coffee and conversation following the lecture!
 
Dr. Corcoran is Professor of Religion and Philosophy and Chair of the Religion and Philosophy department at High Point University.
Dr. Corcoran served as the president of the North Carolina Philosophical Society in 2010 and 2011.
We are fortunate that Dr. Corcoran has agreed to share his work and experience(s) with our students and faculty.
