Cisco CCENT(Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician) Certification (NET 3100B2)
This hybrid course covers the CCENT (ICND1) material. Students will learn basic router configuration and network technology, with hands-on activities using Cisco equipment and simulation software to develop a solid background. The course includes router and IOS basics, router startup and configuration, routing protocols and network address translation, access lists, IP addressing, PPP, and OSPF.
Course Objectives
  1. Router/switch configuration and the management of router configuration files.
  2. Interacting with the Cisco IOS using the command line interface (CLI).
  3. The use and configuration of various types of router interfaces and cables.
  4. Configuring various types of protocols, such as: OSPF, Frame Relay, RIP and PPP.
  5. Understanding and configuring Network Address Translation (NAT).
  6. Data traffic control and network security through the use of access list.
  7. Understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 addressing.
  8. Understanding of LAN switching and the purpose of VLAN, and switch configuration
